Our projects
We fund access to proven, scalable tools that help the adults around children make daily movement realistic - in classrooms first, and beyond.
We back what works - and what can scale
Every Child Active is an access charity. We don’t design new programmes or build delivery infrastructure. We fund access to tools that already work, and we support adoption so they can be used consistently, at scale.
Our first supported project is imoves, because it’s already being used in real schools, it fits normal practice, and the evidence suggests the biggest gains are seen in the least active children.
imoves: daily movement made classroom-ready
imoves is a teacher-first digital platform helping primary staff get children moving every day, with over 3,000 ready-to-use resources across PE and physically active learning. It’s award-winning, accredited, and rated 5 stars by teachers.
It’s built for real classrooms: low-prep, teacher-led, and easy to repeat.
Why was imoves chosen?
We chose imoves for one clear reason: it closes the implementation gap. It doesn’t rely on one-off events or extra staff capacity. It supports the adults around children - teachers first - with practical tools that can become routine.
And it’s already working at scale:
1 million children reached,
65,000 active users in the free community,
20,000 teachers using free resources in 2024.
Evidence and scale
-

Resources
A whole-school movement digital toolkit with 3,000+ ready-to-use lessons and activities across PE and physically active learning — and still growing.
-

Reach
Over 1 million children have already used imoves. This is already a working model, not a pilot.
-

Evidence
Showed +8 mins/day MVPA in a 6-week physically active learning trial, the biggest gains were seen in the least active children.
-

Potential
2 billion extra active minutes could be added if daily routines scale to ~60,000 classrooms, modest changes add up fast.
We’re open to supporting other scalable solutions
imoves is our first supported project - not our only possible one. The charity can fund other approaches that furthers its charitable objects, subject to due diligence on governance, safeguarding, data protection, evidence, scalability and value for money.
If you have an evidence-informed approach that reduces barriers for teachers, parents or community leaders - and can scale with integrity - we’d welcome a conversation.
